Advent Calendar source

This is the finished box.. and the next pictures show the basic calendar box as it can be found at stores. IT's by KAREN FOSTER Designs. Check your local stamp and scrapbook stores for availability. It costs $20 retail, unfinished.

What will I do first?

First, the roof needs to be repaired. Then that giant hole needs to be filled in and grassed, or a deck built over it? I'm not sure yet on that respect. But the back porch needs ripping off and a new one built before the roof can be repaired. After the outside is cleaned up and no GIANT holes in the ground, I can start getting beds, and other furniture into the place. It may even need some painting inside before even that is done!! Wish me luck.!! This is the only way I can figure this place can pay for itself, and give a little back to the community in which it exists.

I have this house in East Texas...over by GBC and Malakoff. I thought of repairing it and trying to sell it.. but it's a lemon.. It needs so many repairs, beginning with the roof, and then filling in this giant hole formerly known as a swimming pool. So.. with a lot of prayer... God gave me this idea to turn the Lemon into Lemonade... So I am going to repair the roof, fill in the hole, furnish the house with 6 twin beds, 1 queen bed (for the queen bee), a sofa, some chairs, and lots of craft tables, chairs and lights to create the Desert Rose Scrapbook Retreat. What do you think? I have talked to quite a few people... and everyone is enthused!! Some have even asked to let them know when it will be ready so they can come!! Sort of like Field of Dreams.... build it and they will come? So here goes... take a look at the BEFORE pictures of the repairs needing to be done on the roof.
